Iran wrestling federation appointed new head coaches for senior teams.

In freestyle, Mohammad Talaei named as Iran senior team head coach. Talaei, 1997 world champion was head coach of Iran junior team during last three years and won world team title in 2014 and 2015.

Iran wrestling President Rasoul Khadem was former head coach of senior freestyle team but will not continue as head coach after Olympic Games and remains as head of Iran federation as well as UWW bureau member.

In Greco-Roman, Ali Ashkani replaced Mohammad Bana as senior team head coach.

Ashkani was 2005 World silver medalist which conducted Iran Greco-Roman cadets team during last three years.

Ashkani won team title by Iran Cadets teams in 2016 World Championships. It was second team title for Iran team in World Cadets championships.
