Seven time world and Olympic champion Hamid Soryan goes on mat in Mongolia to wrestle at 59kg weight classes. Soryan failed to gain Olympic place in Las Vegas World Championships and Asian Olympic Games Qualifier.
The representative of Iran Greco-Roman team at 130kg will be Amir Ghasemi Monjazi who replaced Bashir Babajanzadeh. Babajanzadeh couldn’t earn spot from Asian OG qualifier in Kazakhstan.
Ghasemi Monjazi recently grabbed Asia gold medal.
The first World OG qualifying tournament to be held in Mongolia, April 22 to 24. Top three wrestlers in each weight qualify to compete at Olympic Games.
