Iran wrestling team trial held in Qazvin city as it was followed by many surprises.

Many big names in Iran wrestling were defeated in 2014 team trial. Olympic Champion Ghasem Rezaei, World and Olympic medalist Ehsan Lashgari and Olympic bronze medalist Komeil Ghasemi were the most famous wrestlers who lost in team trial.

Rezaei and Ghasemi failed to win final match series and Lashgari was eliminated after two defeats against Mojtaba Ziaei and Meysam Mostafa Joukar.

The best wrestlers of team trial will be selected to compete at 2014 World Championships in Uzbekistan and 2014 Asian Games in South Korea.

The pool system was two-defeats elimination and the winners were determined after two wins against finalists.
