Achieving 36 of 37 votes, Rasul Khadem was elected as Iran wrestling president for four years.

Khadem was chosen over fellow presidential candidates Mohammadreza Toupchi, Hamid Seifi, Mojtaba Shirazi and Ali Badei.

Khadem conducted Iran freestyle wrestling team at 2013 world championships as head coach and his team won world team title after 11 years.
