      Defeating Turkey 5-2 at final match, Iran wins title at 2012 Greco-roman wrestling World Cup.

      It was third consecutive trophy of Iran in Greco-Roman wrestling World Cup.

      Five times World Champion Hamid Soryan, 2011 World Champions Omid Norouzi and Saeid Abdevali, 2010 Asian Games gold medalist Taleb Nematpour and 2012 Asia champion Davoud Gilneirang were winner wrestlers of Iran against Turkey.

      Iran also defeated Azerbaijan (4-3), Belarus (5-2), the host team Russia(4-3) and Bulgaria (6-1) before the final match.

      Also South Korea defeated Azerbaijan 5-2 to place third. Russia defeated Hungary 7-0 to stand fifth.
