For selecting 120kg weight class team member for participating at 2012 freestyle wrestling World Cup, a match held between last 6 years team member Fardin Masoumi and newcomer Komeil Ghasemi.

The match held in four periods. Ghasemi won first period 1-0. The second was 0-0 and by coaches decision, there was no clinch. Third period was for Masoumi(2-1) and finally Ghasemi was winner of fourth period(2-1).

It was also a trial for remaining in national team for Olympics and Masoumi missed 2012 Olympics after the defeat.

Now Parviz Hadi and Komeil Ghasemi wrestle in World Cup. Also Mohammadreza Azarshakib missed the tournament due to injury. One of these three represents Iran at Olympic Games in 120kg.
