• Greco-roman qualifying tournament in Rome

      Ali Mohammadi qualified Iran in 66kg Weight class

      Ali mohammadi downed Tiziano Corriga in semifinal of 66kg weight class in 1st Greco-roman Olympic qualifying tournament in Rome and captured fifth licenses for Iran Greco-roman team. He competes against Sergey Kovalenko in final match. 

      But Hamid Bavafa failed to qualify Iran in 60kg weight class. Bavafa downed by Jiang Sheng in quarter final. Sheng lost to Davor Stefanek from Serbia in semi final and Bavafa doesn’t have any chance for medal. Iran should seek 60kg license in Serbia Olympic qualifying tournament.

      60kg final holds between Stefanek and Dilshod Aripov from Uzbekistan.

      Tomorrow Farshad Alizadeh competes in 74kg.
