At the first day of freestyle Olympic qualifying tournament in Martigny, Switzerland two times world junior champion, Mehdi Taghavi, stormed to the 66kg final and received Olympic license. Taghavi defeated 2007 European champion, Albert Batyrov 11-5  in third round. Taghavi meets Serafim Barzakov from Bulgaria in final.

Also Abbas Dabbaghi won against Genadi Tulbea 5-3 in first round but lost to Radoslaw Velikov from Bulgaria. Velikov competes in 55kg final against Kim Hyo Sub from Korea.

Dabbaghi has a chance to be third and receive Olympic license.

Semi final: WINS Grégory Sarrasin(SUI) 0-1, 2-1, 3-1
