The most surprising result came from 60kg bout when newcomer Abouzar Nourzade defeated 2005 world champion Ali Ashkani in two peiod. Omid Norouzi was another talented wrestler of thid weight which pinned 2007 Asia silver winner Hamid Bavafa. Also in 120kg, 2007 junior world silver medalist Riza Kayaalp from Turkey beat 2007 world team member and fourth place at Athens Olympic Masoud Hashemzade in three period.
