Iranian wrestlers won all 7 gold medals at 2012 Madrid Grand Prix tournament in Freestyle.

The most important result came from 120kg where Komeil Ghasemi defeated world champion Alexy Shemarov from Belarus and European gold medalist Fatih Cakiroglu from Turkey. Also Sadegh Goudarzi beat Robertty from Venezuela at 74kg. Robertty defeated Denis Tsargush at 2011 World championships and placed fifth there.

W 60kg: Masoud Esmaeilpour(IRI) pinned Diatra(SEN)

W 66kg: Mehdi Taghavi(IRI) defeated Zholayev (KAZ)

W 74kg: Sadegh Goudarzi (IRI) deafeated Robertty (VEN)

W 84kg: Ehsan Lashgari (IRI) defeated Murad Gaidarov (BLR)

W 96kg: Reza Yazdani (IRI) pinned Yankouski (BLR)

W 120kg: Komeil Ghasemi (IRI) defeated Daniel Ligeti (HUN)
