Iran sweeps gold medals at FR wrestling Grand Prix in Paris

    Iranian freestyle wrestlers captured five gold medals, one silve and one bronze at 2016 freestyle wrestling tournament “Paris Grand Prix” in France.

    World silver medalist at 57kg Hassan Rahimi competed at 61kg and won gold medal, defeating two time world junior champion Iman Sadeghi in second round.

    65kg World bronze medal winner Seyed Ahmad Mohammadi captured gold medal in 70kg.

    Also Hassan Yazdani (70kg world silver medalist) placed second at 74kg. Yazdani defeated Iranian 74kg team member Alireza Ghasemi 8-0 in second round.

    Alireza Karimi (86kg) and Komeil Ghasemi (125kg) were Iranian title winners at the tournament as Karimi defeated former world bronze medalist Vereb (HUN), and Ghasemi won against Tervel Delagnev from USA in second round.

    Abbas Tahal also placed third at 97kg.
